Works with GatEvo Connect

One system, from the door to the phone.

SafetyEvo and GatEvo Connect access control are made by the same UK team. Link your controllers and every door entry and exit becomes physical evidence beside each timesheet.

The SafetyEvo side is built and tested. The link goes live when the GatEvo portal starts sending door events, which we are working on now. Register your interest below and we will tell you first.

How it works

Four steps, nothing new for your staff.

  1. 1

Fob, card or app at the door

GatEvo Connect records the entry at the gate or building, exactly as it does today. Nothing changes for your staff.

  2. 2

    One tap on the phone

Starting a shift in SafetyEvo is the clock in, and it turns protection on: location sharing, check-in timers and SOS.

  3. 3

    Matched on the timesheet

Each door entry and exit is matched to the site and the person, and sits beside the clock in and clock out. A gap of more than 15 minutes is flagged for a manager to check.

  4. 4

    Records you can show

Corrections keep the original time and the reason. Exports carry a check code. Door events are kept for the period you set, 90 days unless you change it.

What you get

Attendance you can stand behind.

Evidence, not surveillance

A door event shows a fob or app was used at that door. It never switches location sharing on or off: only the shift does that, and the app always shows when tracking is on.

Mapped by you

You link each GatEvo controller to a SafetyEvo site and each fob or card to a person. An unknown fob is kept against the site and never guessed to be someone.

No biometrics

No facial recognition and no fingerprint clock in. Presence comes from the fob, the app and, where you use them, site tags.

Append only

Door events, corrections and approvals can be added to but never changed or deleted, enforced by the database. Every view is in the audit log.

One secret per company

The GatEvo portal sends events to a SafetyEvo address with a secret made for your company. Repeated events are ignored, so nothing is counted twice.

Works with your payroll

Timesheet exports in layouts that suit Xero, Sage and BrightPay imports, with night hours, breaks and approvals.

Who it is for

Sites with a door, and people who work past it alone.

Security, facilities, cleaning, housing, depots and plant rooms: anywhere a GatEvo Connect controller already guards the way in.

The timesheet shows the door time and the clock time side by side. Agree, and the record stands on its own. Disagree by more than 15 minutes, and a manager sees a flag and checks. Nothing is blocked and nobody is scored: it is a record for payroll and for your duty of care, not a performance tool.

What it is, and is not

  • A door event is evidence that a fob or app was used, not proof of who held it.
  • Door events never start or stop location sharing. Only the shift does that.
  • Flags are for a person to check. Nothing is decided automatically.
  • Workers see their own record in the app and can ask for a correction.
  • No facial recognition, no fingerprints, no cameras.
