Draft for review by our legal adviser before launch.
SafetyEvo is not an emergency service
SafetyEvo alerts the people your organisation or family has chosen. It does not contact the police, ambulance or fire service for you. If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. Alerts depend on phones, signal and the people receiving them responding.
Location sharing must be open, never secret
- Use SafetyEvo only to look after the safety of people who know they are using it and have been told what is shared and when.
- Do not use it to track anyone secretly, outside their working time, or for purposes other than their safety, such as performance monitoring.
- Employers must tell staff how their data is used and complete the risk assessment and data protection steps that apply to them.
- Children may only be added to a family group by their parent or guardian.
Alerts and tests
- Do not raise false alerts on purpose. Use the drill feature to test, which marks the alert as a test for everyone.
- Make sure the people on your escalation ladder know they are on it and have agreed to receive alert texts and calls.
- Do not use the text, call or notification features to send anything other than safety alerts and welfare checks.
Accounts and security
- Keep passwords and PINs private, and do not share accounts.
- Tell us straight away if you think an account has been misused.
- Do not try to break, overload, copy or get around the security of the service, or access data that is not yours.
If these rules are broken
We may suspend access to protect people or the service, and we will tell the organisation's admin why. We will never switch off a live alert to do so. Questions: hello@safetyevo.co.uk.
