Lone worker safety for security officers

Security officers often work nights, alone, on sites that are empty for a reason. SafetyEvo gives each officer a one-press SOS and check-in timers, and gives your control room a live map of everyone on duty.

The risks your people face

Confrontation

Intruders, trespassers and members of the public who do not want to be challenged.

Isolation at night

Static sites and patrols where no one else is nearby for hours.

Alarm response

Attending an activation without knowing what is waiting.

Common challenges

  • Proving to clients that officers were on site and protected
  • Covering many sites with a small control team
  • Officers who must not appear to be raising an alarm

How SafetyEvo helps

SOS with duress PIN

If an officer is forced to cancel, the screen shows cancelled while your team is told they may be under threat.

Check-in timers for each patrol

Set a timer before entering a building or walking a perimeter. A missed check-in raises the alert by itself.

Live map of officers on duty

Photo pins for every officer, with battery and signal, in one view.

Escalation to the duty manager

Ladders for nights and weekends, by push, text and call, until someone answers.

A working example

An alarm response at 02:40

  1. An officer is sent to an alarm activation at a warehouse and sets a 20 minute check-in timer: "Unit 7, rear doors".
  2. Inside, they are confronted. They hold SOS. The control room console sounds and shows their position at the rear of the building.
  3. The duty supervisor acknowledges within the first step, calls the officer, gets no answer, and calls 999 with the location copied from the console.
  4. Every step, call and note is on the incident timeline for the client report.

An illustrative scenario. Names and times are not from a real incident.

What you gain

  • Fewer missed welfare calls on long night shifts
  • Evidence of welfare cover for clients and insurers
  • One view of all officers across all sites

Frequently asked questions

Can control room staff run the console all night?

Yes. The console is a web app with an alarm sound that keeps going until an alert is acknowledged.

Does it replace our alarm receiving centre?

No. SafetyEvo alerts your own team. It is not an accredited alarm receiving centre.
